This experience was heartbreaking. My mother, who had surgery just one week ago, unknowingly tried an eyeliner. Instead of kindly explaining the policy, a staff member treated her rudely and gave my parents uncomfortable looks. My mom is a very gentle person, and this interaction deeply hurt her. Watching her feel embarrassed while still recovering from surgery was painful. A little kindness would have meant everything. We are going to the other one
Tried to use a valid Similac manufacturer cheque that has been accepted at other Shoppers Drug Mart locations. This store refused it, and the cashier and assistant manager were rude and dismissive, with no proper explanation. Poor customer service.
I had an extremely disappointing experience at this location. I bought a Dyson hair dryer online during Black Friday using my Optimum points, and when it arrived, it was defective. it would turn on but wouldn’t turn off. Customer service emailed me a new packing slip and told me I could bring it to the store for an exchange. When I came to this Green Lane location, two employees weren’t sure how to help. Then a staff member named SUE came over and told me nothing could be done without the original paper slip. I explained multiple times that customer service had emailed me the receipt and that all purchase records were on my account, but she was so aggressive, dismissive, and refused to help. Another employee, Gina, stepped in and said the store could process the exchange. When I mentioned Sue’s rude attitude, she raised her voice even more and walked away in front of me without any apologies. Thankfully, the ASM later handled the exchange professionally but no customer should have to experience what I went through with SUE today. Truly one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.
My elderly parents visited the store today at around 12pm to buy some products and was met with a very strange (and what I interpreted as rude) behavior from the cashier. As it's seniors day, they had to pay at the cashier to get their senior discount. When checking out, they kindly reminded the cashier "senior". The cashier lady then answered with "please". My parents were confused and repeated "senior". The cashier lady repeated "please". And the exchange repeated a 3rd time. My mom finally realized she wanted them to say "please" before she was willing to complete the transaction. There was already a long line-up behind them and so my mom said "please" to get it moving. While I understand saying please and thank you are good manners, this was someone that appeared to be younger, treating seniors like they don't know better. This kind of behavior is very disrespectful and this person doesn't belong in a customer service job.
Over the course of three visits, Hailey, Melissa, and Sue assisted me with great care, patience, and professionalism. Their attentive follow-up and sensitivity to my needs, even during busy times, truly stood out. Miigwech to all three.
Just left this shoppers after a atrocious experience, went to look for hair products well discussing different options, this old middle aged blonde women came right up behind us and proceeded to pretend to fix products ( she lightly moved her hand back and fourth over them a couple times), she proceeded to do this for a couple minutes and left as we left that aisle to go to another one, we saw her leaning against the cosmetic counter, arms crossed, staring at us as well as giving us a dirty look as if we were dirt on the floor. We felt like we had done something wrong even though we were just trying to decide on products and were made to feel like shoplifting criminals as well as be-litter. She made it very obvious through out our experience that she thought we were shoplifting as she lingered near us majority of our time shopping. As paying customers we should not feel bullied and be-little. Customer service should be worked on as this is unacceptable especially when working a job that requires customer service.
Chinese lady at beauty section did not ask me if I needed help while she was chatting with a friend while I was waiting to be helped for 20 minutes. -Jan 30 around 2 pm
